VistaVision Contrast Sensitivity Test

By

At the beginning of the test it will appear this screen, in order to being able to explain to the patient the four kinds of forced answer expected for this test:

leftward inclination,
inclination of the vertical bars,
rightward inclination of the bars,
non-recognized inclination, linked to the red key.

The other three answers are linked to the relevant cursor keys of the remote control.

Before to start the test, it is possible to chose the kind of psychophysical procedure to use; the test starts with the FAST 2-1 procedure, but if you press the CHANGE key, it is possible to change and chose the sequential psychophysical procedure.

Press a cursor key to start the test. The data related to the displayed stimulus are initially hidden, but if you press the DATA key, they will appear on the screen.

Once there is a stimulus with inclination of the bars at pseudo-random choice, the test will wait for your answer on the remote control.

By pressing the key related to the inclination perceived by the patient, the test will continue to choose new values of contrast sensitivity and new spatial frequencies, until determine the threshold value for all the six spatial frequencies. At the end of the test, the curve of contrast sensitivity will be displayed on the screen.

Together with the end of the test, a report is calculated and stored in the instrument. By opening the SETUP window and the REPORT sub-window it is possible to display the stored reports that you can easily transfer on a USB key, by entering it in the Vista Vision.
